If you talk to a debater you hear one thing over and over: no part of their education had a larger impact on them than debate. Like everything in 2020, access to debate has been dramatically impacted by the pandemic.
Across the country students are dealing with upheaval including the cancelation of many extracurricular activities as they learn remotely. At the National Association for Urban Debate Leagues we spent months transitioning academic debate to virtual spaces to ensure our students would be able to access this life changing activity even in this most unusual school year.
From virtual summer camps to launching our virtual public debate series, I RESOLVE, paid internships for our alumni and redesigning our national championship to serve more students than ever in a virtual space, our staff is working tirelessly to ensure students will continue to have access to this life-changing activity throughout the pandemic. Join us on this national day of giving by contributing to our virtual programs. Your donation will help us develop virtual programing to develop and strengthen the voices of the upcoming generation. Affirm tomorrow.
